Each day, Lord, and every night,
Your presence and Your love
Are the warmth within my heart.
Help me nurse into flame
This ember of faith.
Help me to spread it
Heart to heart, soul to soul,
To all Your children
Throughout the earth.
Amen

Tuesday, August 8

O Lord, make me Your instrument,
Make me the one You send;
One servant’s work divided
Among all the sheep You tend.
Yet all may know completely
Your grace from up above;
From a single loaf, a single fish,
A single act of love.
Amen

Wednesday, August 9

Heavenly Father,
I enter this day with gratitude,
In the light of the hope
Of eternal union with You.
Help me to share Your light
Through my actions
And my manner today.
Amen

Thursday, August 10

Praise to You, Lord Jesus!
My heart is filled with joy!
You are with me on the journey,
You await me at its end.
Through You, I am not weary.
With You, I am not alone.
In You, I shall live.
Amen

Friday, August 11

Each day, O Lord, I seek You,
In the neighbor, in the poor.
Each day, O Lord, I serve You,
In my actions, in my words.
Each day, O Lord, I give my life,
A little at a time,
With faith to move mountains,
With hope undiminished,
With love enough to share.
Amen

Tend to this seed, O Jesus,
That You have planted in my heart.
Water and nourish it,
Turning always as it grows
Toward the light of Your divine love.
Fill my heart completely, Lord,
So that the seed of sanctity
May fall upon all hearts,
Inviting them into Your garden.
Amen

Tuesday, August 1

Heavenly Father,
Grant me faith to persevere
Discerning Your will
Through fog of doubt
Doing Your work
Up steepest climbs
Seeking Your Kingdom
Tirelessly
Amen

Wednesday, August 2

Father, draw me closer to Your Kingdom.
Lord, implant Your will within my heart.
O God, be still the stormy seas around me,
As I strive, for love alone, to do my part.
Amen

Thursday, August 3

Lord, You are rest when I am weary,
Comfort in distress,
Peace in times of turbulence,
And direction when I am lost.
And when I am at peace,
Unburdened by worry or distress,
Still You are my beacon,
My direction,
And my hope.
Amen

Friday, August 4

On every step, Lord Jesus,
You are near.
I am never on my own in times of sorrow.
I am never all alone in times of strife.
At every time, Lord Jesus,
You are here.
My heart is never empty,
My burden’s not too much.
You are the light that guides me.
You are my hope.
Amen

Lord, may my faith move mountains;
May it heal, may it soothe, may it grow.
Lord, may my hope light the pathway;
As a guide where You wish me to go.
Lord, may my love be for giving alone,
As Your love in my heart overflows.
Amen

Wednesday, July 12

Lord Jesus, You hear every whisper.
Lord Jesus, You see every tear.
Lord Jesus, You heal every wound.
Lord Jesus, You share every joy.
Lord Jesus, my comfort in sorrow.
Lord Jesus, inspiration for my works.

Thursday, July 13

O love of the Living God,
Pour down on me like rain.
Wake me up from slumber,
Wash me free of pain.
Speak with a voice like thunder.
Let Your light flash through the skies,
So I, now wide awake,
May see the world with brand new eyes.

Come to me, Lord Jesus,
Hungry, ragged, and poor.
Help me to see the suffering face
That stands outside my door.
Help me to share Your hunger,

Help me to share the crown of thorns
That I see upon Your head.

Grant me the peace of Your presence,
The love that can only be shared.
Enter my heart, Lord Jesus,
For I have made room for You there.

Wednesday, June 28

I love You, Lord, with all my heart,
My soul, my mind, my life.
May people know me, Lord,
By the fruits of Your spirit,
And the fire You have lit in my heart.
Amen

Thursday, June 29

With faith, Lord, I look to heaven,
Offering praise and gratitude
For all I have received.

With hope, Lord, I look all around me,
At the beauty of Your creation,
Knowing all trials will pass.

With love, Lord, I look at my neighbor,

Tuesday, June 13

I love You, Lord Jesus, believe me.
I give You my heart in full.
I give You this day,
And all that will I do,
Happily, joyfully, and willingly.
What else can I do?

Wednesday, June 14

Awake me from my slumber, Lord,
Clear my eyes of sleep.
Help me to see You clearly, Lord,
In the falling rain, in the rising sun,
In the rustling leaves and darting birds,
In the face of a passing stranger.
Help me to love You more, Lord,
And to love You at first sight.

Jesus, Son of God,
Who humbled Yourself as man,

Help me to see all your children

Or shabby clothes,
Or behind unwelcoming faces,
Throughout the busy day,
In that same brilliant light.

Lord help me fulfill Your plan.
Because there is hunger,
May I feed the hungry;
Because there is thirst,
Lead me to water;
Because there is suffering,
Teach me to comfort;
Because of Your justice,
Help me serve.
Amen

Wednesday, May 17

You carry me, Lord, on the pathway
When I am too tired to walk.
You hear me, O Lord, in my weakness,
When I am too weary to talk.

How can I help but smile?
The face of hunger, the face of joy,
The face of need, the face of love,
The face of the neighbor,
Unique and unrepeatable.
Open my eyes to see You, Lord,
Open my heart to smile.

Tuesday, April 18

Lord Jesus, Your bore Your cross for me
Up the rocky path, buckling under its weight.
Open my eyes to see the struggling neighbor
Bending low under the weight of a cross.
Give my heart the strength to share the burden
And the love to wipe the neighbor’s brow.
Lead me on the way of the cross.

Hear my prayer;
Hear the groanings
Of my heart.

Lord Jesus, in my heart of hearts,
Deep within my soul,
In every fiber of my being,
Help me to follow Your way.

Wednesday, April 5

When I stand tall with undeserved pride,
Help me, Lord Jesus, to kneel.
When I am brought low by the things of this world,
Help me, Lord Jesus, to stand.
When I’m at a loss for the right words to say,
Lord Jesus, hear my prayer.

Lord Jesus,
In Your infinitely creative love
You share Your true presence
In bread and wine.
May it remind me that through
The anointing of my Baptism,
I also am sent
To bring glad tidings to the lowly,
To heal the brokenhearted,
To comfort those that mourn,
Not to be served, but to serve.

Lord Jesus, lead, and I will follow,
Taking up my cross daily,
And bearing its weight gladly,
No matter how difficult.
For the pathway is narrow
That leads to the Kingdom

By the sign of the cross.

Lord Jesus,
Fully divine and fully human,
You fully revealed my nature
And my calling
Through Your life on earth.
You fully paid the price for my sins
By Your suffering
And death on the cross.
Lead me into Life, Lord Jesus.

Roll away the stone, Lord Jesus,
So that I may follow Your way!

Your truth is as bright as the day!
