When you donate today to the National Council of the U.S., Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdPUSA), you are helping us support nearly 100,000 Society of St. Vincent de Paul volunteers in communities across the country.

While Vincentians have had to adapt their outreach efforts during COVID-19, they continue to bring critical assistance to millions of people living in poverty — delivering food and clothing, connecting homeless people with housing, offering assistance with utilities, and more. No work of charity is foreign to the Society.

Frontline Vincentian volunteers rely on year-round support, including educational programs and trainings, spiritual guidance, and funding assistance for special programs and urgent needs from the National Council. Read more about our donation programs below, or click the Donate Now button at the top of the page to ensure your donation is earmarked for our most urgent needs.

We are grateful for your generosity!

The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act Offers New Charitable Giving Incentives because it includes provisions designed to encourage charitable contributions of cash. It allows taxpayers who do not itemize their returns to receive a tax deduction of up to $300 for cash donations to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations during the calendar year 2020.

Taxpayers who itemize returns may now deduct up to 100% of their 2020 Adjusted Gross Income. The limit on corporate donations has been lifted from 10% to 25%. Your gift may provide you with additional tax advantages. Please consult your own tax advisor.

Make a Stock Donation

Gifts of stock and other assets support SVdPUSA’s mission of helping Vincentians to grow in holiness and build a more just world through personal relationships with and service to neighbors in need.

Donor Advised Funds

DAFs are one of the easiest and most tax-advantageous ways to “grow” resources earmarked for future charitable giving. Simple and convenient, your DAF can make a significant impact in the lives of our neighbors in need.

Make a Planned Gift

Your financial, philanthropic, and estate goals are unique to you. We welcome the opportunity to work with you and/or your advisor as you leave Your Legacy of Faith in your estate plans.

IRA Charitable Rollover

If you are 70½ years old or older, you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit the National Conference of the U.S., Society of St. Vincent de Paul and receive tax benefits in return. You can give any amount up to $100,000 per year from your IRA without paying income tax. This popular gift option is commonly called the IRA charitable rollover, or a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).

Friends of the Poor Walk

Since its beginnings in 2008, the annual Friends of the Poor® Walk/Run program has provided local St. Vincent de Paul Conferences and Councils with funds to support special projects and help neighbors in need.

Donate a Car

Your vehicle donation to SVdPUSA helps Vincentian volunteers provide developmental programs, food, water, and shelter to neighbors in need across the country. Make a difference today!
