O Lord, my heart is restless
Until it rests in You.
I stumble in the darkness
‘Til Your light the day renews.
In illness or in suffering,
A stranger, or alone
Help me seek Your Kingdom,
For this world is not my home.
Amen

Tuesday, January 31

When I am fearful, Lord, give me peace.
When my body is failing, Lord, give me peace.
When I am alone, Lord, give me peace.
When my mind is troubled, Lord, give me peace.
Deep in my heart, Lord, give me peace.
Amen

Wednesday, February 1

Lord Jesus,
May the light of Your love
Shine upon me
From the face of the neighbor
In need
And may I in serving
Be a sign of Your hope.
Amen

Thursday, February 2

Through the darkness of night,
I sleep in peace,
O Lord, with my faith to sustain me.

Through the troubles of day,
My heart is at rest,
O Lord, with my hope to sustain me.

Through all of life’s trials,
There is joy in my heart,
O Lord, with Your love to sustain me.

Thank You, Lord,
For the beauty of Your creation,
The living image of You,
Unique and unrepeatable,
Standing before me hungry,
Sitting before me alone,
Huddled against the cold,
Inviting me into Your presence.

You suffered in my name,
You gave Your life for mine.
I offer You this day
And the next one
And all the days I have
Not in payment, but in gratitude;
Not with grumbling, but with joy;
Not for penance, but for love.
Amen

Wednesday, January 25

Lord Jesus, in my blindness,
Remove the scales from my eyes.
In Your power and glory, Lord, lead me
With all the light of the skies.
Through new eyes I will see You beside me,
Or ahead, by the light from above,
The one that is suffering, forgotten, alone,
The one I will serve in Your love.
Amen

Lord, in Your mercy,
Look not on those times
I served myself first,
Or trusted my prudence
Above Your Providence.
Make me Your instrument.
Not my will but Yours.

May I offer in Your name
All of my work,

All of my effort,
All of my thanks,
All of my day,
Each day.

Wednesday, January 11

Your love is upon me, O Lord,
Like the warmth of a summer sun,
Or a cloak around my shoulders
In the chill of night.
Your presence, Lord, is within me.
Help me to share Your warmth.

Thursday, January 12

Speak to me, Lord, without words
In the silence of my soul.
I await, O Lord, in patience,
Silent and open to You.

Friday, January 13

Lord in heaven, look down upon me.
You have made me in Your image,

With love for the neighbor,
With hope for new life,
With faith in the Father above.

Give rest to my heart, O God,
As I lift my eyes towards You.
Grant me the peace
Of knowing Your love
And of loving You in return.
Amen

Friday, January 6

Lord Jesus,
You clothed Yourself in our humanity,
Sharing our burdens as Your own
So that we might share in Your divinity.
Help me to share the burdens
Of all those separated from You
By poverty or sorrow
So that they may feel Your love,
See Your light,
And share Your hope.

I walk in Your light, Lord Jesus.
In Your light is no darkness or sin.
You are the Savior, Light of the world,
That I seek my redemption within.
Amen

Thursday, December 29

Save me, Savior of the world,
Through Your sacrifice for all.

I will bear Your cross in suffering,
I will serve the poor as You,
I will love the Father above all else,
As You command, so shall I do.

Save me, Savior of the world,
Though I am unworthy and small.
Amen

Friday, December 30

Lord, bless my father and mother,
As they have blessed me in Your name.
May they live in Your love
For all of their days,
And rest in Your peace at the end.

Sweet Virgin Mary,

And our thanks.

And all that we are given,
Is meant to be shared,

With all of our neighbors in need.

So, with hearts full of love,
We give back to heaven
All that we have received.

Father in Heaven,
Your child is at Your feet
With no expectations;

Jesus, Son of Man,
Whose chose not power,
But poverty for Yourself,
Loving and serving the poor,
Help me to follow Your Way
In faith.

Jesus, Son of God,
You followed the Will
Of the Father,
Even unto death.
Help me see the Truth
With hope.

Jesus, Lord and Savior,
Whose love is everlasting!
Through the cross
And resurrection,
You lead me to new Life
In love.
Amen

Father, forgive me,
Show me Your mercy,
Send me Your spirit of love.

Creator of all,
Thank you all Your gifts:
My talents, my successes,
My possessions,
My frailties, my faults,
And my weaknesses.
To serve You and the neighbor,
All these are enough.
Amen

Wednesday, November 9

O Lord, grant Your blessings
On all whom I serve,
Whose troubles have brought them to me.
Give me ears that hear them,
Eyes that see them,
Hands that serve them,
And a heart that loves them.
Let them know Your love
And Your promise
Through my works.
Amen

Thursday, November 10

Lord Jesus, the vine,
From Whom I shall grow,
As a one of many branches,
Through the strength of my arms,
And the light of the Spirit,
May my works bring forth

Lord God, animate me,
